TG GUINGONA SPARKS COMEBACK RUMORS AFTER SOCIAL MEDIA RE-EMERGENCE

Former Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona III has sparked speculation about a potential political comeback in the 2028 elections following a sudden surge in activity on his official social media accounts.

After flying under the political radar for nearly a decade, Guingona recently posted content reintroducing himself to the public. Another post offered a glimpse into his current life, showcasing his day-to-day activities as a senior citizen.

The political veteran’s newfound online presence follows his high-profile departure last year from the Liberal Party (LP)—the former ruling party of the late President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. After nearly ten years of LP membership, Guingona officially transferred to the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KNP), the political party led by fellow former Senator Bam Aquino.

Guingona, the son of former Vice President Teofisto Guingona Jr., hails from a prominent political clan in Mindanao. He was last seen on the national political stage during the 2016 elections, where he launched an unsuccessful bid for a second consecutive Senate term, ultimately finishing in 17th place.
