VP SARA CHALLENGES PMA CLASS OF 2026 TO DEFEND SOVEREIGNTY

Vice President Sara Duterte on Saturday, May 16, urged the 207 graduating cadets of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Talang Dangal” Class of 2026 to stand firm in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and the welfare of its people as they enter active military service.

In a congratulatory message shared on her official social media accounts, Duterte commended the graduates for successfully navigating the grueling demands of their military education.

“Your graduation is the culmination of a rigorous journey—one defined by discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering sense of duty.”

Celebrating the milestone alongside the PMA community and the cadets’ families, the Vice President reminded the new officers that their true service begins the moment they step outside Fort Del Pilar.

She exhorted them to carry the academy’s core values forward, serving as the “bearers of our nation’s pride, honor, and dignity.”

Duterte further pressed the “Talang Dangal” class to let integrity and bravery guide their careers in public service, especially when confronting external and internal pressures.

“I urge you to personify integrity and courage at all times. Stand firm against all threats to our sovereignty and our liberties. Do not waver, even in the face of the most difficult challenges.”

Expressing her gratitude to the 207-strong cohort for choosing a “noble path,” Duterte concluded her message with a patriotic charge, rallying the fresh graduates to love the Philippines “for God, for the nation, and for every Filipino family.”
