VP SARA LEADS PUBLIC SATISFACTION RATINGS IN LATEST SWS POLL

Vice President Sara Duterte continues to hold the highest public satisfaction rating among top national officials, defying the impact of an ongoing impeachment case, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

The nationwide poll, conducted through face-to-face interviews from March 24 to 31, 2026, sampled 1,500 adult Filipinos to evaluate public sentiment toward key government leaders.

The results revealed that 54 percent of Filipinos approve of Duterte’s performance, while 25 percent expressed dissatisfaction. This culminates in a net satisfaction score of +29, which the polling body classifies as “moderate.” The latest figure reflects a marginal increase from her +28 net satisfaction rating in November 2025, ensuring she maintains her leading position.

Geographically, the Vice President’s stronghold remains Mindanao, where she secured a net satisfaction score of +82. Her numbers also saw an uptick in Metro Manila, though she experienced minor drops in Balance Luzon and the Visayas.

Other top officials evaluated in the survey include:

  • Former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III: Registered a “moderate” +15 net satisfaction rating (44 percent satisfied, 28 percent dissatisfied).
  • Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo: Logged a +9 net satisfaction score (35 percent satisfied, 26 percent dissatisfied).
  • House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III: Posted a +4 net satisfaction rating (32 percent satisfied, 28 percent dissatisfied).

The SWS study used a nationally representative sample distributed across major regions: 600 respondents from Balance Luzon, and 300 respondents each from Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

The survey maintains a margin of error of ±3 percentage points for national data, ±4 percentage points for Balance Luzon, and ±6 percentage points for Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
