ABS-CBN AND TV5 EXPAND PARTNERSHIP WITH NEW SHOWS AND SIMULCASTS

Building on the successful premiere week of the action-comedy series Coco Martin’s Sigabo on the Kapatid Network, media giants ABS-CBN and TV5 are expanding their collaborative content partnership.

The two major broadcasting networks confirmed that the highly anticipated romantic-comedy series Someone Someday will air on TV5 this coming July. Produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment, the upcoming show marks the very first on-screen collaboration of Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador.

Aside from its TV5 broadcast, the series will simultaneously stream across ABS-CBN’s multi-platform network, including Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, ALLTV Channel 2, Kapamilya Online Live, iWant, and Netflix.

In addition to the new prime-time offering, TV5 is launching a morning movie block in partnership with ABS-CBN called Blockbusters sa Umaga starting this Monday. The lineup for its debut week features Hollywood films such as The Commuter, Guardians of the Tomb, and Red Line.

Concurrently, ABS-CBN will begin broadcasting TV5’s flagship morning talk show, Face To Face with Ate Koring, hosted by veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas, across its various television platforms.

This expanded programming rollout marks a strong revival for the ABS-CBN and TV5 alliance. The partnership was renewed six months after TV5 initially terminated their prior agreement due to ABS-CBN’s temporary failure to settle financial obligations, a matter that has since been fully resolved.
