Filipina tennis phenom Alex Eala is coming back to the Philippines for a star-studded homecoming celebration featuring a celebrity match and an exhibition game at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on December 8.
The festivities, scheduled to launch at 10:30 a.m., will showcase prominent showbiz figures swapping their routine projects for tennis rackets. The entertainment lineup includes Kapamilya performers Anne Curtis, Piolo Pascual, Julia Barretto, and Donny Pangilinan, alongside Kapatid actress Andrea Brillantes.
Boxing icon and former senator Manny Pacquiao will also step onto the court, joining the celebrity showcase.
Following the celebrity match, Eala will anchor the main athletic event of the day in an exhibition match against Indonesia’s top tennis player, Janice Tjen.
Eala expressed her excitement over playing in front of a home crowd, describing her Philippine return as a deeply meaningful experience.
“I love playing tennis in the Philippines, and I’m really excited to come home and share this moment with Filipino fans,” Eala said.
“Having the opportunity to play at the Philippine Arena, in front of tens of thousands of fans, is something truly special. I’m excited to be part of a moment that brings people together, celebrates our culture, and hopefully creates a historic moment for Philippine tennis,” she added.
