TV5 is set to elevate its primetime lineup with the highly anticipated premiere of A Secret in Prague on April 27, 2026.

The romantic thriller will headline the network’s TodoMax Primetime Singko block, marking a major collaboration between TV5 Entertainment and Slingshot Studios.
A Landmark Pairing in Prague
The series features the first on-screen team-up of Andrea Brillantes and Enrique Gil. For Gil, the project marks his return to television after a six-year hiatus. Filmed largely in the Czech Republic, the production uses Prague’s gothic architecture and cobblestone streets to create a visually striking backdrop.

Brillantes, fresh from her role in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, expressed excitement about working in an international setting, while Gil described the project as the culmination of “long-term planning that has taken several years to realize.”
Love in the Crosshairs
Written by Mark Duane Angos and directed by Barry Gonzales and Paco Sta. Maria, the story follows Mikoy (Gil), a Filipino migrant whose life takes a dangerous turn when he reconnects with Kiara (Brillantes), a woman from his past now entangled with a powerful crime syndicate.

The teaser highlights the central conflict with the tagline:
“Sa mundong hindi laging simple ang magmahal, isang kwento ang magpapatunay na lalaban ang puso—kahit sino, kahit ano ka pa.”
Ensemble Cast and Cinematic Quality
The series also stars Kim Domingo and Cedrick Juan as special agents, alongside veteran actors Edu Manzano, Joel Torre, Arlene Muhlach, and Ruben Maria Soriquez as antagonist Viktor Valtrovi.

With its cinematic 4K UHDTV quality, A Secret in Prague signals TV5’s commitment to premium, world-class content that blends soap opera romance with modern thriller sensibilities.
The series will premiere on free-to-air television via TV5 on April 27 and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting April 24.
