“BABY DOLLS” JUBY LEARNS FROM BACKLASH OVER DONNY PANGILINAN DREAM CONTROVERSY

MANILA, Philippines — Juby Sabino, a member of the It’s Showtime girl group “Baby Dolls,” shared that she has learned to exercise greater caution with her public statements following a wave of criticism over a viral anecdote about actor-singer Donny Pangilinan.

Reflecting on the controversy during a guest appearance on GMA Network’s afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Sabino recalled the intense public backlash she faced after revealing on ABS-CBN’s Gandang Gabi Vice that she had a dream involving the actor. The remark previously drew sharp reactions from some of Pangilinan’s supporters, who deemed the comment inappropriate.

Describing the period as a low point in her early career, Sabino noted how the experience pushed her to reevaluate her actions under public scrutiny.

“I would say na it hit me on my rock bottom, Tito Boy,” Sabino said.

“Parang ang dami kong realization. And since kaka-start lang namin, I would consider that as learning experience ko po and namin,” she added.

The incident has prompted both Sabino and her groupmates to adopt a more mindful approach to their public platform.

“Magiging extra careful po ako and kami,” she stated.

Sabino also noted that the matter has already been resolved behind the scenes, with their respective management teams having addressed the issue.

Pangilinan previously stated that he was not offended by the story and believed Sabino had no ill intentions, though he admitted that bumping into the group could feel slightly awkward given they share the same network.
