Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano officially assumed command of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Sunday, issuing a direct mandate to expand visibility on the ground and guarantee rapid emergency response throughout Metro Manila.
Abrahano stated that the regional force will carry out proactive law enforcement strategies designed to ensure police assistance is both immediate and directly felt by the public.
“Our commitment is simple: Every beat covered, every call answered,” Abrahano said in his speech during the change of command ceremony at the NCRPO headquarters at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
“To the people of Metro Manila, expect your police to be present, responsive, professional and respectful. You don’t need influence or connections to receive proper police service.”
The newly designated chief emphasized that under his stewardship, the NCRPO will enforce this operational benchmark for Metro Manila residents, aligning with the overall direction set by PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
A graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1996 and former head of the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao, Abrahano replaces Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin, who stepped down after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.
