BTS member V, formally known as Kim Tae-hyung, has revealed that he is currently receiving treatment for hearing loss in one ear.
The K-pop star disclosed the condition during a joint live session on the fan platform Weverse alongside bandmate Jungkook on Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, V shared that his auditory health began deteriorating approximately two and a half years ago and has not fully recovered.
”If my left ear can hear 100 percent, my right ear is at just 30 percent,” V said during the session.
The singer reassured supporters by noting that he remains under continuous medical care, taking prescribed medication and undergoing regular hospital evaluation.
In the same broadcast, fellow group member Jungkook opened up about his own physical challenges, revealing a painful lower leg injury near his shin that is approaching a stress fracture. He indicated that the condition involves severe inflammation and potential micro bone damage.
”Although I wanted to run energetically on the stage today, pain forced me to hold back at times,” Jungkook said, asking for fans’ understanding.
The health updates come while the global music icons are actively conducting their tour across the United States.
As part of their international itinerary, BTS is slated to perform in the Philippines on March 13, 14, and 16, 2027, at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan.
