The local government of Caloocan City has expanded its workforce development initiatives by rolling out a fresh employment program for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in partnership with a private firm.
Mayor Along Malapitan led the formal signing of “Project Ability and Mobility,” a collaborative pact aimed at linking qualified PWDs with stable jobs.
The city’s Public Information Office highlighted that the initiative is a key pillar of the current leadership’s mission to break down long-standing employment obstacles faced by the PWD sector.
Through direct employer matching, the local government hopes to offer equal access to professional advancement and sustainable financial security for its citizens.
At the ceremony, Mayor Malapitan reiterated the city’s unwavering commitment to championing the rights and visibility of the PWD community, emphasizing that no one will be left behind under his watch.
“Tiwala po tayo sa kakayahan ng ating mga kababayan at titiyakin natin na sa ating liderato ay nabibigyan sila ng pantay na karapatan, oportunidad, at pagpapahalaga,” he said.
Moving forward, the Mayor stated that the program is driven by the principle that all residents deserve proper representation and the dignity of gainful employment.
He renewed his vow to build an inclusive city where every resident is given the tools to help shape the progress of Caloocan.
