Former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder Celeste Cortesi and her former partner, Jonathan Sterling, have welcomed a baby boy named Sergio, despite having previously confirmed their separation.
Cortesi initially announced her pregnancy last April and later shared that she was expecting a boy, prior to public speculation regarding her relationship status with Sterling.
In August, Cortesi addressed relationship questions by noting that couples experience challenges, and the pair officially confirmed their breakup in September.
Following the birth, Cortesi posted a glimpse of her newborn on social media—referring to the infant affectionately as “baby S”—though the post has since been deleted.
Sterling also shared a photograph of the baby and expressed profound admiration for Cortesi’s resilience during delivery, noting that she endured more than 20 hours of labor.
“Staying with her through more than 20 hours of labor showed me just how strong of a woman she is,” Sterling wrote.
“So, so happy to welcome baby S into the world,” he added.
Cortesi represented the Philippines at the 2022 Miss Universe pageant, finishing in the Top 16 after succeeding Beatrice Luigi Gomez as Miss Universe Philippines earlier that year.
