Adult content creator Salome Salvi has been cleared of obscenity charges, bringing an end to a nearly year-long legal battle that impacted both her career and livelihood.
Salvi shared the news in a social media post on November 3, expressing relief over the court’s decision to dismiss the complaint.
The legal case centered on alleged violations of Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code concerning obscene publications and exhibitions, combined with Section 6 of Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Although Salvi did not name the private group behind the filing, the complaint has been linked to the Kapisanan ng Social Media Broadcasters ng Pilipinas Inc.—the same organization that previously filed a case against vlogger Brian “Tiyo Bri” Babilonia.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Salvi noted how the proceedings severely disrupted her work. She shared that she lost her podcast, which served as a major source of income, and faced heavy restrictions on social media, where she also earned her living.
“Halos isang taon akong binulabog ng hinayupak na organization na yan,” Salvi wrote.
Expressing frustration over the lengthy process, Salvi criticized the group for wasting state resources and dragging other influencers and media personalities into similar complaints despite minding their own business.
With the dismissal finalized, Salvi is now looking forward to moving past the legal challenge and rebuilding her career.
