The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has mobilized maintenance crews to perform continuous asphalt patching across major thoroughfares in Metro Manila while clear weather persists.
According to a social media update issued by the department on Saturday, the intensified road restoration operations follow direct mandates from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to swiftly fix road damage caused by recent downpours.
Repair operations are actively underway along several key corridors, including:
- Quezon City: Portions of E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Luzon Avenue Flyover, Mindanao Avenue, Quezon Avenue Bridge, and the northbound lane of EDSA-Santolan Flyover
- Pasay City: Macapagal Boulevard, Roxas Boulevard, and Spine Road
- Manila: Taft Avenue and Plaza Cervantes in Binondo
- Malabon, Taguig, and Valenzuela: M. H. Del Pilar Street (Malabon), C5-Kalayaan Avenue (Taguig), and MacArthur Highway (Valenzuela)
The agency aims to complete the priority patching works while fair weather holds to restore smooth traffic flow and ensure motorist safety across the metropolis.
