DPWH SCHEDULES OVERNIGHT ROAD REBLOCKING ON MULTIPLE QUEZON CITY THOROUGHFARES

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Major thoroughfares across Quezon City will experience scheduled lane closures as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) carries out road reblocking projects from October 2 to 5.

The infrastructure maintenance will take place nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Local authorities have warned drivers to brace for reduced traffic speeds and heavier congestion surrounding the construction zones.

The scheduled repairs cover several key stretches:

  • Quezon Avenue: The fourth lane from the center median running from Biak na Bato to Cordillera.
  • Sgt. Rivera Street: The second lane from the center median stretching from Banawe to Sto. Domingo.
  • Quirino Highway: The inner lanes spanning Premiere Street to Villareal Street, as well as Regalado Avenue to Trees Residences. The outer lane between La Mesa Road and Reynor Event Place is also slated for work.

To minimize disruptions and maintain order, field personnel from the city’s Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD) will be deployed throughout the affected corridors.

Drivers are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes for the duration of the four-day maintenance window.
