IV of Spades, SB19 and Dionela were among the biggest winners at the 39th Awit Awards, which celebrated notable achievements across the Philippine music industry.
IV of Spades collected three major honors during the ceremony. The group’s album “Andalucia” was named Album of the Year, while its track “Aura” received Song of the Year. The band also won Best Sound Engineer Recording for “Monster.”
SB19 likewise secured multiple awards for “Dungka,” which was recognized as Best Pop Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Recording, while its music video won Best Music Video.
Dionela earned three awards for “Ikigai,” his collaboration with rapper Loonie. The song won Best Collaboration, Best R&B Recording and Best Rap/Hip-hop Recording.
Janine Berdin also had a strong showing, taking home Best Ballad Recording and Best Performance by a Solo Artist for “What If I Miss You for the Rest of My Life.”
Ben&Ben received two awards for “Saranggola,” winning Best Performance by a Group and Best Musical Arrangement.
The awards ceremony brought together several well-known personalities from the Philippine music and entertainment scene. Among those present were Jose Mari Chan, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, APO Hiking Society’s Jim Paredes, Catriona Gray, Gloc-9 and the Sexbomb Girls, who participated as presenters.
The 39th edition also looked ahead to the next milestone of the annual music awards, with the Awit Awards set to celebrate its 40th anniversary in April 2027.
Organizers have announced plans for a larger celebration honoring Filipino music.
