QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Comedian Juliana Parizcova Segovia has revealed that he and “It’s Showtime” host Vice Ganda have officially mended their relationship following a political disagreement during the 2022 national elections.
The strain between the two performers emerged when Juliana, the inaugural champion of the “Miss Q and A” competition on ABS-CBN in 2018, backed the electoral tandem of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte. Vice Ganda, on the other hand, campaigned for Leni Robredo and Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
During a recent media engagement, the entertainer shared that communication lines between them have reopened and the conflict has been resolved.
”Wala, matagal na po, we’re okay, we’re good. I’m so happy na ito… pero ngayon ko pa lang ‘to sasabihin, talagang finally, yung nangyari sa amin ni Vice noon is talagang tapos na,” Juliana said.
Describing the outcome, the comedian framed the resolution as a long-awaited realization.
”Past is past. Napag-usapan na namin. And ano siya, answered prayer po,” she added.
Juliana explained that she regularly initiated contact via messaging platforms, acknowledging Vice Ganda’s demanding schedule.
”Actually ako naman talaga, ever since, nagme-message na ako sa kanya, e. Pero siyempre, I have to understand na hindi ako basta-basta mare-replyan kasi busy din si Vice,” she noted.
While an in-person meeting has not yet taken place, Juliana noted taking comfort in Vice Ganda’s casual references to her during recent broadcasts of the pageant segment.
”The moment na lagi niya ako name-mention sa ‘Miss Q&A’, parang feeling ko yun yung pinaka-good side for me na nagte-thank you ako, ‘Meme, thank you, minention mo ako kanina. ‘Okay yan, deserve mo yan, e,” she shared.
Addressing the latest edition of “Miss Q and A,” Juliana expressed interest in making an appearance, pointing to fellow former contestant Lars Pacheco’s recent return to the show.
”Hindi ko pa alam, pero si Lars Pacheco nung nakaraan nag guest judge na siya. Lars was my 2nd runner-up during ‘Miss Q and A’ Season 1. Oo naman, gusto ko mag-guest judge kasi doon pinanganak si Juliana Parizcova,” she stated.
