Nearly 5,000 employment opportunities were offered to residents of Malabon City during the local government’s sixth Mega Job Fair for 2026 on Saturday, September 12.
The one-day event, held at Robinsons Malabon, brought together 50 employers offering a total of 4,888 vacancies across various industries. Available positions included jobs in customer service, sales, construction, manufacturing, engineering, technical support, food service and retail.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said the employment initiative is part of the city’s efforts to make job opportunities more accessible while helping residents improve their skills and secure more sustainable livelihoods.
She also highlighted the local government’s goal of making employment-related government services more convenient for job seekers.
“Sa pamamagitan ng mga job fair na ito at sa pakikipagtulungan sa ating mga partner employers at employment stakeholders, mas napapalawak natin ang mga oportunidad na maaaring mapakinabangan ng mga residente,” Sandoval said.
The job fair was organized by the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in partnership with Trabaho Partylist.
Applicants were also able to access various government services through a one-stop shop established at the venue. Participating agencies included the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG Fund.
The September 12 job fair was the sixth employment event mounted by the city government this year. Previous fairs were held in January, March, April, June and August.
City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said the local government will continue working with employers and other labor-sector partners to generate additional employment opportunities for Malabon residents.
