MRT-3 TO DEPLOY 19 TRAINS ON MONDAY FOR POST-UNDAS RUSH

The Department of Transportation-Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (DOTr-MRT-3) will ramp up its operations by deploying 19 trains during peak hours on Monday, November 2.

The adjustment is designed to accommodate the heavy influx of commuters returning to Metro Manila following the long Undas weekend as regular school and work routines resume.

This increased deployment scales up from standard holiday operations, which typically run 14 trains during non-peak hours and 16 trains during peak periods.

According to transit officials, the proactive measure ensures smoother passenger flow and a more efficient commute.

“The additional train deployment aims to accommodate more passengers and provide a more convenient journey for our Ka-Riles,” the DOTr stated.

The expanded train availability is part of broader efforts by the MRT-3 management to maintain heightened security and efficient crowd handling following the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
