Thousands of Parañaque City residents received various forms of government support on Monday, September 14, as local and national agencies rolled out cash grants, food aid, land titles, and public services to celebrate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 69th birthday.
Organized under the flagship initiative “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat,” the city-wide effort was conducted across multiple key locations in coordination with Mayor Edwin Olivarez’s administration.
Financial distributions made up the bulk of the assistance. In Barangay San Dionisio, 2,000 crisis-affected individuals received ₱2,000 each through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, while 2,375 persons with disabilities (PWDs) were granted ₱3,000 each.
Additionally, 3,615 residents—comprising PWDs, fisherfolk, social pensioners, and solo parents—received 10-kilogram rice sacks under the fourth phase of the city’s free rice distribution.
The birthday initiative also featured several other specialized community services:
- Housing: The National Housing Authority awarded Certificates of Lot Assignment to 36 families enrolled in the Multiriverside social housing initiative in Barangay Sto. Niño.
- Healthcare: The PhilHealth YAKAP program provided medical coverage services to 350 students and faculty at Parañaque City College, alongside roughly 2,000 parolees.
- Community & Animal Care: Residents accessed free legal counseling, discounted food via the President’s Kadiwa stalls, and free public transport. The city veterinary office also supplied free anti-rabies shots, deworming, and microchipping for 100 domestic pets.
The simultaneous activities took place across the city at the Parañaque Coliseum, Parañaque City College, Barangay Don Bosco Gym, Parañaque City Sports Complex, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Sucat Road, and the former Barangay San Dionisio Gym.
