The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) released ₱525.43 million to accredited healthcare institutions across the Caraga Region in August.
According to a report published by PhilHealth-13, the disbursement covered a total of 40,410 processed claims. The regional office achieved an average turnaround time of 6.72 days per claim, beating the national average of 10.25 days.
Officials attributed the swift processing to sustained efforts to streamline services for both member beneficiaries and partner institutions.
”PhilHealth Caraga remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting healthcare providers and ensuring the seamless delivery of universal health care across the region,” the regional office said.
”We thank our healthcare partners for their continued synergy as we work together to provide accessible, reliable, and efficient financial medical protection for every Caraganon,” the statement added.
PhilHealth-13 emphasized that accelerating claim payouts forms part of its broader mandate to reinforce support for regional health providers while guaranteeing accessible medical coverage for local residents.
