MANILA, Philippines — Songwriters and music creators from 10 countries across Asia will gather in the Philippines to participate in a collaborative initiative designed to produce cross-cultural music.
The FILSCAP Asia’s Songwriting Master Camp 2026 will bring together prominent composers from India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Designed as an international creative exchange rather than a traditional workshop, the event will allow participants to merge distinct languages, musical traditions, and artistic styles.
Throughout the multi-day program, the musicians will be organized into multi-national teams to compose and write original material, demonstrating how shared creative processes can bridge regional and linguistic divides.
The event also aims to position the Philippines as a regional hub for international music production while connecting local composers with international peers.
The songwriting sessions will conclude with the FILSCAP Asia’s Songwriting Master Camp Showcase Night on October 7, where the newly composed original tracks will be presented live to demonstrate the outcomes of the cross-border collaborations.
