MANILA, Philippines — Media giant TV5 and its parent company, MediaQuest Holdings, have undergone another leadership transition following the return of Victorico “Ricky” Vargas as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MediaQuest Holdings on Tuesday, November 3, after a months-long medical leave.
Alongside his reinstatement at MediaQuest, Vargas assumed the role of officer-in-charge (OIC) for TV5 Network, a post temporarily held by Chaye Cabal-Revilla.
According to sources, Vargas’s leadership at the network is interim while a permanent president is sought to succeed former TV5 President Guido Zaballero, who resigned.
Sources confirmed that Vargas assured stakeholders of the continuity of ongoing content production and strategic partnerships initiated by Zaballero and Cabal-Revilla. Furthermore, the leadership transition reinforces the network’s commitment to steering the Kapatid Network back onto its “path to profitability.”
