SOFRONIO VASQUEZ SELLS OUT DEBUT MANILA SOLO CONCERT

MANILA, Philippines — Fresh from his historic victory on The Voice US Season 26, Kapamilya singer Sofronio Vasquez has officially sold out his first major solo concert in Manila, titled “Sofronio Vasquez Live in Concert,” scheduled for November 7 at The Proscenium Theater in Rockwell Center, Makati.

Co-producing the show independently, Vasquez chose to bypass offers from outside concert organizers to prove his capability to draw a crowd on his own terms. Although The Proscenium is not the country’s largest venue, he emphasized that mounting a production reflective of his personal artistic vision for a dedicated audience remains his top priority.

The achievement came despite initial anxieties over ticket sales, economic pressures, and stiff competition from recent major concerts by prominent local acts.

“Sobrang hirap ng buhay ngayon, sobrang hirap i-pressure yung mga tao na magbayad ng ganito so I am just lucky na sa November 7 mapupuno ko ang isang venue,” Vasquez remarked regarding the financial climate.

He views the milestone as a stepping stone for future, larger-scale performances, opting for a measured approach to his career growth. Audiences can expect a deeply personal, carefully curated repertoire that highlights his distinct musical style.

“Maririnig nila, and maiintindihan nila why I wanted this concert,” he added.

Supporting him on stage is an elite lineup of guest artists, including Ogie Alcasid, Jed Madela, Jona, Bituin Escalante, and Myramae Meneses (Myra Torresa), with National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab and Jem Florendo serving as musical directors.

Reflecting on his journey since winning the international singing competition, Vasquez noted a profound personal transformation, transitioning from a reserved performer into a more confident artist willing to assert his creative voice.
