LOS ANGELES, USA — Pop superstar Taylor Swift has surprised fans by announcing an expanded “encore” edition of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” featuring four brand-new tracks.
Swift shared the announcement on social media alongside the album cover art, reflecting on the milestone success of the original record, which sold over four million units during its opening week in 2025.
”About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” Taylor wrote in the caption.
Following the record-breaking release, the Grammy-winning artist reunited in Sweden with longtime producers Max Martin and Shellback, where the trio unexpectedly created additional material.
”I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really, we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there, and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs,” she added.
The four newly added tracks are titled “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon”. The expanded edition is scheduled for release on Friday, September 25.
