Delivering ultimate summer vibes, musical variety show VIBE launched its “VHIE-CATION” experience for the second round of OG NIGHTS, even as the crucial two-week voting window remains underway.
The program’s resident hosts and emerging talents kicked off the episode with a sun-drenched opening medley, performing a string of contemporary hits including “Sunburn,” “IDJAY,” “SAAN,” and the classic “Biglang Liko,” setting a high-energy tone for the broadcast.
CULTURE MEETS VIRAL CHOREOGRAPHY AT VIBE SPOT
The episode’s “VIBE SPOT” segment celebrated both heritage and modern movement. Outgoing feature act Anak Bale-Balayan delivered a culturally enriched performance before officially passing the spotlight to the viral millennial dance crew, TML Group.
Reflecting on their advocacy, Anak Bale-Balayan left an inspiring reminder for the younger generation.

“Message ko lang po sa mga Kabataan ngayon is, kung may chance na kayong matutunan kultura natin, pwede natin i-grab para atleast may matutunan natin dito sa Pilipinas,” (My only message to today’s youth is, if you have the chance to learn our culture, let’s grab it so at least we can learn something right here in the Philippines) the cultural group shared.
Accepting the weekly distinction, the TML Group revealed that their journey began nearly a decade ago, showcasing a versatile repertoire that spans hip-hop, jazz, and various other genres. The dance crew expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their craft on the major television stage.
OPM ICONS TAKE THE OG STAGE
Responding to heavy audience demand, the OG Stage brought back legendary hitmakers, beginning with singer-songwriter Aliya Parcs, who delivered a powerful rendition of “Stop Think.” Parcs revealed a unique turning point in her career during her interview.

“…didn’t release any single, it’s pure LIVE performance. Then she decided to release an album that she produced songs,” the singer shared regarding her shift from unreleased live tracks to taking full creative control as an album producer.
Pop icon Roselle Nava followed with an emotional trip down memory lane, performing her timeless classics “Huwag Ka Nang Magbabalik” and the legendary anthem “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita.” Nava expressed her joy at finally gracing the show’s stage and attributed the enduring relevance of her discography to both great songwriting and modern digital spaces.
“I’m so grateful because, nabiyayaan ako ng magagandang awitin, yung mga composers na nabigay sa aking kanta maganda, I’m also thankful dahil sa social media, maraming gumagamit sa mga background music and also, maraming nagrerevive ng magagandang artist. From your generations so, maraming salamat kasi through those, mas marami narinig ulit ang mga kanta namin,” (I’m so grateful because I was blessed with beautiful songs; the composers who gave me songs wrote beautiful ones. I’m also thankful because of social media, many are using them as background music, and also, many great artists are reviving them. From your generations, so thank you very much because through those, our songs are being heard again by more people) Nava explained.
A HISTORIC CROSS-GENERATIONAL COLLABORATION
In a historic first for the show, the OG COLLAB segment debuted, bridging the gap between pioneering OPM artists and contemporary hitmakers. Multi-talented star Sam Concepcion teamed up with Roselle Nava for a dramatic duet of “Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita.”

Both artists expressed their excitement over the seamless creative synergy, with Concepcion adding that he eagerly anticipates future genre-bending pairings between legendary acts and rising mainstays on the platform.
RAP PIONEERS AND ALTRNATIVE ROCK FINALE
The energy shifted to classic Pinoy hip-hop as the pioneering rap trio Urban Flow took over the stage with a nostalgic performance of their hit “Miss Pakipot.” The trio expressed their profound gratitude to the local hip-hop community and looked back on their groundbreaking contribution to the local sub-genre.
“Rap yung flow, ay parang pakanta,” (The flow of the rap is like singing) the group noted, describing how they helped pioneer the melodic, sing-song rap style that continues to dominate local airwaves today.
Closing out the retrospective lineup was high school alternative rock favorite MOJOFLY, who thrilled listeners with high-octane performances of their signature tracks “Tumatakbo” and “Mata.” Offering advice to younger musicians, the band emphasized that long-term survival in the ever-evolving music industry boils down to one core principle: consistency.
