The local music scene welcomed a revamped era of weekend entertainment as Vibe Plus kicked off its upgraded, fan-powered Saturday night show.
Promising a grander experience packed with more artists and interactive segments, the program opened with an energetic collaborative performance featuring its mainstay Vibe Jocks, the Gen Vs, and two rising Star Worx talents.

The premier broadcast delivered a series of powerhouse vocal showcases from Dylan, Ryle, Carmela, and Gen V’s Selina, alongside established local acts Ronnie Liang, Bituin Escalante, Sheryn Regis, and Poppert.
During the episode, the show paid tribute to Manny V. Pangilinan, the chairman of the MVP Group, TV5, and MediaQuest Holdings Inc., for his continuous support in creating opportunities for local talents. Additionally, actor Enrique Gil, star of the Kapatid teleserye A Secret In Prague, made a special guest appearance.

A major highlight of the relaunch was the formal introduction of OPM sensation Gigi De Lana as the newest addition to the Vibe Jock family. De Lana made her debut on the show with a high-energy medley of Rivermaya’s iconic hits, including “214,” “Awit Ng Kabataan,” and “Ulan.”
The program also debuted its newest segment, Star Worx on Vibe Plus, a platform dedicated to showcasing emerging showbiz talents. Star Worx artists Nico, Marthena, Adam, and Keisha were the first to take the stage, delivering a lineup of international cover songs.

At the heart of the show remains the “Main Vibe” chart, cementing the program’s commitment as the country’s leading fan-voted OPM music countdown. This week’s top spots featured:
- Top 3: “Ulap” by JRLDM, Guddhist Gunatita, Alisson Shore, and Kiyo.
- Top 2: “Pangako” by the band Magnus Haven.
- Top 1: “Ganda-Gandahan” by Dia Maté, who also serves as the National Director of Reyna ng Turismo.
Closing out the celebratory launch was alternative rock band Imago, who performed their hit anthems “Taralets,” “Sundo,” and “Akap” alongside Vibe Jocks Ana, Gigi, and Carmela.

As Vibe Plus transitions into this expanded format, fans and viewers have expressed hope that the show will preserve its unique core as the country’s sole live OPM countdown—a vital platform for local music lovers and P-pop enthusiasts alike since the pandemic.
Voting for the next music chart remains open until Thursday, July 16, at 11:59 AM. Vibe Plus broadcasts on TV5, One PH, True TV, and the Kapatid Channel, with online streaming available on the social media pages of TV5 and Vibe PH.
