Global anime streaming platform Crunchyroll has officially expanded its localized content offerings in the Philippines, launching native Tagalog audio dubs and localized subtitles for a curated selection of popular isekai, fantasy, and donghua titles.
The localization update allows subscribers in the Philippines to stream select series featuring complete Filipino voiceover tracks and Tagalog script adaptations directly through Crunchyroll’s website, mobile applications, and connected TV devices.
Leading the newly localized catalog is the comedy-isekai series Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon (Seasons 1 and 2), which details the unique adventures of Boxxo, a sentient vending machine reincarnated into a dungeon world. The Tagalog dub features localized phrasing and adapted comedic exchanges between Boxxo and his adventuring companion, Lammis.
The update also introduces full Filipino voiceovers and subtitle tracks for Release That Witch, following protagonist Roland Wimbledon as he merges modern technological concepts with magic to rebuild a medieval realm. Additionally, the acclaimed dark fantasy donghua Lord of the Mysteries (Season 1) is now available with complete Tagalog audio and sub tracks, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the Victorian-inspired occult world of Zhou Mingrui and his alter ego, Klein Moretti.
Subscribers can enable the new localized streams across all supported devices, including mobile apps, web browsers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. To activate Tagalog voiceovers or text, users start an episode, open the video player’s Settings menu via the gear icon, and select “Filipino” under the Audio or Subtitles/CC options.
The rollout forms part of Crunchyroll’s broader initiative to deepen its footprint across Southeast Asia by providing dedicated regional language options alongside its ongoing global simulcast calendar. By offering native dubbing and colloquial subtitling, the platform aims to enhance accessibility for anime and donghua fans across the country.
