Game developer and publisher Cygames has officially announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR: THE STAGE in Los Angeles. The decision comes just days before the scheduled performances on October 22–23, 2026, at the Peacock Theater.
According to the official statement, the primary cause of the sudden cancellation was the inability to secure necessary U.S. performance and entry visas for the Japanese voice cast, singers, and production crew within the required timeframe.
Cygames confirmed that despite repeated administrative efforts and close coordination with all involved regulatory agencies, processing delays made it legally impossible to host the live event as scheduled. Due to tight global tour itineraries and the complex logistics of managing a large ensemble performance group, alternative arrangements could not be finalized in time.
To assist affected fans, Cygames confirmed that full refunds will be issued for all official ticketing categories, including on-site viewing tickets, digital live streaming passes, and official JTB tour packages associated with the event. Detailed refund procedures are currently being distributed via email and through primary ticketing partners.
Acknowledging the heavy impact on international fans who booked flights and accommodations, Cygames expressed deep regret over the late notification and noted that it is evaluating potential support measures for travelers, with further updates to be posted on the official event website.
Cygames offered a formal apology to all fans, stating that the team deeply regrets the inconvenience caused to “all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show.” Further updates regarding compensation guidelines and future tour dates will be released through the official Umamusume: Pretty Derby social media accounts and website.
