Japanese media giant Fuji Television Network, Inc., in collaboration with Hong Kong’s MakerVille and South Korea’s SIMSTORY, officially held the world premiere for its flagship autumn drama series, kiDnap GAME, at the Fuji Television Headquarters in Odaiba, Tokyo.
Ahead of its television debut on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9:00 PM JST, the red-carpet ceremony and advance screening brought together an international ensemble cast and executive production crew to celebrate the launch of the pan-Asian thriller.
Set along the iconic grand staircase of the Fuji Television Headquarters, the red-carpet arrival drew fan cheers in multiple languages as cast members descended to meet the international press and attendees. The premiere was headlined by lead stars Kentaro Sakaguchi representing Japan and Lee Joon-gi representing South Korea, alongside veteran Filipino actor Joel Torre, Taiwanese actress Alice Ko, Hong Kong performer Stanley Yau, Singaporean star Carrie Wong, and Thai actress Praew Narupornkamol Chaisang. Japanese co-stars Sae Okazaki, Show Kasamatsu, and Shinnosuke Mitsushima were also present.
Following the red-carpet arrivals, a special advance screening was held before a full house. Director Yusuke Kato and the cast took to the stage to discuss the cross-border production effort, which involved filming across seven Asian cities with a international production crew exceeding 1,000 members.
The 11-episode drama series revolves around coordinated, simultaneous abductions taking place across seven major Asian locations: Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, Bangkok, Naha, and Manila.
The narrative thrusts seven strangers from distinct backgrounds, nationalities, and walks of life into a high-stakes survival scenario. The families of the victims receive an ominous directive from the mastermind behind the abductions: “How far are you willing to go to save your loved one? Only one can be saved.” To secure the release of their relatives, participants are forced to execute high-risk missions before rival players complete theirs.
kiDnap GAME begins its official weekly broadcast run on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. In Japan, the series airs on Fuji TV every Tuesday at 9:00 PM JST, with streaming available on FOD and TVer. South Korean audiences can tune in via Channel A, while viewers across Southeast Asia can stream episodes on Viu, including Viu Philippines and Viu Thailand.
