TATA TAKTUMI RELEASES NEW SINGLE “NOT SO BAD” VIA PACIFIC MUSIC GROUP

Filipino American performer Tata Taktumi has officially released her debut single “Not So Bad” through Pacific Music Group, the Pan Asian global music and entertainment company. The project, developed under the creative direction of multi Grammy Award winning producer Timbaland, serves as a bridge between traditional artistry and emerging digital tools, emphasizing a philosophy where human intention remains the driving force behind modern music.

A Hybrid Approach to Artistry

“Not So Bad” is characterized by the vocal performance and creative vision of Tata, supported by the production expertise of Timbaland. While the project has garnered attention for its integration of advanced technology, the label clarifies that the foundation is deeply rooted in lived experience and hands-on artistic collaboration.

The production team utilized artificial intelligence selectively as a sound design and reimagining tool. This allowed the creative team to reinterpret human made musical ideas into new textures and arrangements. However, the core elements of the music, including songwriting, performance choices, and final production, remained entirely human led.

“It is an honor to be working with one of the greatest producers while also shaping my artistry through this process,” Tata shared. “This project is built on real performance, collaboration, and creativity, with technology helping expand what we can imagine. I am having fun creating and it inspires me.”

From Dancer to Multidimensional Artist

The journey of Tata Taktumi began in the performance world, where she initially gained prominence as a dancer within the internationally renowned Jabbawockeez network. Recognizing her creative potential and stage presence, Timbaland saw an opportunity to evolve her role from a visual performer into a vocalist and creative collaborator.

Her Filipino heritage plays a significant role in her artistic identity, which the production team describes as a representation of a new generation of global pop. The project aims to showcase how innovation can expand the reach of an artist without replacing the human element behind the work.
