MANILA, Philippines — Philippine television content continues to secure strong viewership and local support, with major productions from GMA Drama, ABS-CBN Studios, and TV5 Entertainment successfully landing spots on Netflix’s Top 10 most-watched TV series list.
The high-ranking line-up features prominent local releases across major networks. Headlining the roster is the GMA Prime action series “The Master Cutter,” starring Dingdong Dantes as a former Scout Ranger operating as a daytime tailor in Baclaran while living a secret life as a tracker and bounty hunter.
Also securing a strong position on the streaming charts is the ABS-CBN Kapamilya primetime romantic-comedy thriller “Someone Someday,” starring Kathryn Bernardo, James Reid, and Maja Salvador. The plot follows a dating app CEO whose life, business, and family are targeted by an old acquaintance seeking hidden vengeance.
Rounding out the list is the TV5 Kapatid afternoon comedy-drama “Mommy Guard,” starring iconic 90s loveteam Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal. The series highlights a multi-generational family dynamic centering on protective parenting, school environments, and dynamic relationship twists alongside co-stars Cedrick Juan.
Reflecting on the enduring chemistry and support for their reunion project, Jolina Magdangal shared:
“Natutuwa ako, kapag nakikita nila ang MarJo, ang aming samahan ay napapanahon. Kumbaga, nag e-evolve din. Na nung bata kami, ganito ang awayan noon, hanggang sa nagkaron na kami ng families. And kung ano man yung pwede nilang ika-relate sa samahan namin ni Marvin, napapanahon din. Kaya nandito pa rin kami hanggang ngayon.”
Complementing this sentiment, Marvin Agustin described the project as:
“Isang level up ng kiligan at pagmamahalan.”
Audiences can continue watching The Master Cutter on GMA Prime, while Someone Someday and Mommy Guard remain accessible across multiple platforms including the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Kapatid Stream, A2Z, TV5, and ALLTV.
