GMA Network is set to implement minor schedule adjustments to its afternoon programming lineup starting Monday, August 3, following the conclusion of its teen-oriented romantic-comedy series You’re My Favorite Song.
Under the new schedule, veteran showbiz columnist Boy Abunda’s 25-minute talk show Fast Talk will move to an earlier time slot at 4:05 PM. This will be immediately followed by a rerun of the hit Kapuso historical-drama series Maria Clara at Ibarra at 4:30 PM.
Maria Clara at Ibarra, which originally aired in late 2022 and stars Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Julie Anne San Jose, and Dennis Trillo, earned widespread praise from netizens and academic institutions during its initial run on the network’s primetime block.
The newly arranged programming block will follow GMA’s ongoing afternoon shows, Born to Shine at 2:30 PM and Kamao at 3:20 PM.
This is not the first time the network has brought back a hit show to fill a programming slot.
GMA previously aired a primetime rerun of its 2020 romantic-comedy series First Yaya after the conclusion of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0, a joint reality show project between GMA Network and ABS-CBN Studios.
