The program easily outperformed its competitors in the same timeslot, including ABS-CBN’s public-oriented show Tao Po! which garnered 2.2%. Meanwhile, GTV’s movie block G! Flicks recorded 1.8%, and TV5’s music countdown show Vibe trailed behind with 0.7%.
The winning streak continued on Sunday, June 7, with the premiere of the reality-singing competition The Clash Teens. The show hit a 6.3% TV rating during its pilot airing, dominating its rivals. In comparison, GTV’s IJuander post-logged 1.5%, ABS-CBN’s game show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal pulled in 2.3%, and the free TV broadcast of the digital series Project Loki on TV5 registered 0.1%.
Aside from the major networks, sports programming also drew significant viewership over the weekend. Game 3 of the PBA Finals between Barangay Ginebra and TNT secured a solid 4.4% TV rating. Driven by the strong performance of the PBA games, RPTV has currently established itself as the second most-watched television channel on Sundays.
