GMA REVAMPS WEEKEND LINEUP WITH NEW SHOWS AND HIGH-PROFILE ABS-CBN CROSSOVER

GMA Network is set to overhaul its weekend entertainment programming this September with a trio of new broadcasts aimed at diverse audience demographics: “Barangay Love Stories,” “Kalerks,” and the return of the popular late-night talk show “Gandang Gabi, Vice!”

The upcoming roster further strengthens the ongoing cross-network partnership between GMA Network and ABS-CBN, highlighting the free-to-air debut of Vice Ganda’s signature talk show on GMA.

RADIO HIT MAKES TELEVISION LEAP

Long-running radio production “Barangay Love Stories” will transition to television on September 12, 2026. Hosted by Papa Dudut, the show adapts real-life relationship, family, and personal accounts submitted by listeners into dramatized visual narratives.

The project builds upon a massive audio footprint; GMA Network noted that the series earned top honors as the Philippines’ leading Love & Relationships podcast in Spotify Wrapped 2025, topping over one billion total minutes streamed.

The Saturday broadcast will serve as a lead-in for GMA’s evening public affairs and entertainment programming block.

GTV INTRODUCES NEW SUNDAY FORMAT

GTV, GMA Network’s free-to-air secondary channel, will introduce “Kalerks” on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 8:30 p.m.

Hosted by Baus Rufo, Ashley Rivera, and DJ Jhai Ho, the Sunday-night entertainment program focuses on pop culture discussions, trending topics, and celebrity interactions.

The show takes over GTV’s prime Sunday night slot directly ahead of Vice Ganda’s return to late-night television.

“GANDANG GABI, VICE!” HEADLINES SUNDAY PRIME TIME

Concluding a six-year broadcast hiatus since ending its original ABS-CBN run in March 2020, “Gandang Gabi, Vice!” returns to television screens under a new multi-platform arrangement.

ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer (COO) Cory Vidanes verified that the revival will air across GMA, Kapamilya Channel, and iWant.

Scheduled for a September 13 premiere at 10:00 p.m. on GMA Network, the show will follow “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” taking over the time slot previously held by “The Boobay and Tekla Show,” which transitions to Saturdays.

The host expressed enthusiasm regarding the cross-network platform, explicitly naming Kapuso stars Michael V., Marian Rivera, and Alden Richards as prospective interview guests for the upcoming season.
