Award-winning actor John Lloyd Cruz is set to return to the comedy genre on GMA Network after several years away from making sitcoms.
The news was shared by actress and comedian Rufa Mae Quinto through her social media account. Quinto and fellow comedian Bayani Agbayani are among the performers expected to join Cruz in his upcoming sitcom comeback on the Kapuso network.
Cruz stepped away from showbiz in 2017 before eventually returning to the entertainment industry through GMA Network in 2021, following years as one of ABS-CBN’s prominent talents.
His return to television was marked by the 2022 comedy series “Happy ToGetHer,” which later received reruns on GMA’s sister channel, GTV.
As of now, GMA Network has yet to announce details about the upcoming sitcom, including its storyline, official title, premiere date, and the rest of Cruz’s castmates.
