Regal Entertainment and TV5 are deepening their partnership as the Kapatid Network prepares to air three installments of the Monteverde-led production company’s “Mano Po Legacy” television franchise.
The collaboration kicked off in June with the broadcast of “Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune,” which starred Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, and Rob Gomez.
The drama follows the Chiong family, a wealthy Chinese-Filipino clan whose lives are thrown into turmoil after the unexpected death of their patriarch triggers a fierce battle for power within the family.
TV5 later aired “Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss,” a romantic-comedy series led by Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, and Ken Chan.
The story focuses on Irene Pacheco, a bubbly executive assistant who works for the highly meticulous Richard Lim. While pursuing her career, Irene struggles to balance her plans for a future with her boyfriend Nestor and the feelings she begins developing for Richard.
The third title, “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters,” is likewise set to join TV5’s programming lineup, with Aiko Melendez, Thea Tolentino, Angel Guardian, and Beauty Gonzales heading its cast.
The series centers on four Chua sisters—Lily, Violet, Dahlia, and Iris—whose bond is tested as disputes over their family’s wealth, power, and legacy create growing tension among them.
The “Mano Po” franchise previously aired on GMA Network before finding a new home on TV5. The upcoming broadcast on the network’s afternoon block, “Hapon Champion,” will provide Regal Entertainment’s productions with another avenue to connect with television audiences.
