ROBIN PADILLA SET FOR TELEVISION RETURN IN ACTION SERIES “BLOOD VS. DUTY”

After an eight-year hiatus from the small screen, Senator Robin Padilla is officially returning to the world of television drama.

Sources have confirmed that the action star-turned-legislator will have a special participation in the hit ABS-CBN action series, “Blood vs. Duty.”

The buzz began following a teaser released by JRB Creative Production, the unit behind the series. The teaser, which Padilla later shared on his own social media accounts, hinted at a major arrival with the caption:

“May matinding Reresbak sa Primetime. Abangan.”

According to insiders, Padilla’s decision to accept the role was influenced by the character’s identity. He is set to portray a Muslim character, a role that aligns with his personal faith.

Furthermore, the production reportedly worked around the Senator’s primary responsibilities, ensuring that the shooting schedule would not interfere with his legislative duties in the Senate.

Padilla’s last appearance in a television series was in 2018, when he starred in the romantic-comedy “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso” alongside Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap.

“Blood vs. Duty,” which features lead actors Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson, continues to be a primetime staple.

Fans can catch the series weeknights at 8 PM across various platforms, including the Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, Netflix, A2Z, and ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2.
