TV5 AND ABS-CBN REPORTEDLY CONSIDERING BACK-TO-BACK SUNDAY TIMESLOTS FOR VIBE PLUS AND ASAP XP

Speculation is mounting over a potential Sunday lineup shift that could see TV5’s “Vibe Plus” and ABS-CBN’s “ASAP XP” broadcast consecutively across both networks’ free-TV and digital channels.

Industry observers noted the possibility after several regular “ASAP XP” performers made recent guest appearances on TV5’s music countdown show. Maymay Entrata and Angeline Quinto joined the first-anniversary episode of “Vibe” on August 15, followed by Ogie Alcasid on August 22, and Nyoy Volante alongside Erik Santos on August 29.

Veteran singer Martin Nievera is also slated to perform on September 5.

Insiders report that executives from both media companies are weighing a schedule that would place “Vibe Plus” at 11:00 a.m., paving the way for “ASAP XP” to return to its traditional noontime slot at 12:30 p.m. This proposed shift comes months after ABS-CBN moved its flagship Sunday variety show to a 5:30 p.m. primetime slot.

While neither network has formally confirmed the programming adjustment, the discussions align with their ongoing content-sharing collaboration. TV5 currently broadcasts several Kapamilya productions—including “Coco Martin’s Sigabo,” “Someone Someday,” “Blockbusters sa Umaga,” “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal,” and “Everybody Sing”—while ABS-CBN platforms carry Kapatid titles such as “A Secret in Prague,” “My Bespren Emman,” and “Face To Face with Ate Koring.”

For now, the strategic Sunday block remains in the discussion phase, with no final schedule adjustments officially announced.
