TV5 is officially gearing up for a massive programming overhaul this Monday, April 27, with a “triple threat” launch designed to solidify its commitment to “TodoMax” entertainment.
The network is introducing a diverse slate of content that ranges from a highly anticipated K-drama to star-studded local productions.
Hapon Champion: A Time-Traveling Romance
Leading the charge in the 4:00 PM “Hapon Champion” slot is the hit Korean drama The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract. The series follows the journey of Park Yeon-woo, a widow from the Joseon era who is mysteriously transported 200 years into the future to modern-day Seoul.

Her life takes a dramatic turn when she encounters Kang Tae-ha—a man who looks exactly like her late husband—resulting in a high-stakes contract marriage that blends historical intrigue with contemporary romantic comedy.
TodoMax Primetime: Romance and Thrills in Prague
The network’s primetime block, “TodoMax Primetime Singko,” will be headlined by the 8:00 PM premiere of A Secret in Prague. This romantic thriller marks the highly anticipated first on-screen pairing of Andrea Brillantes and Enrique Gil.

Filmed against the cinematic, gothic backdrop of the Czech Republic, the story follows Mikoy (Gil) as he searches for a better life abroad, only to reunite with Kiara (Brillantes). Their reunion is complicated by Kiara’s dangerous life as the daughter of a powerful mafia boss. The series carries a poignant theme:
“Sa mundong hindi laging simple ang magmahal, isang kwento ang magpapatunay na lalaban ang puso—kahit sino, kahit ano ka pa.”
Late-Night Inspiration: Redemption and Compassion
Rounding out the evening at 8:45 PM is My Bespren Emman, starring JM de Guzman and Shaina Magdayao. The series focuses on the redemption of an ex-convict striving for justice and a fresh start.

During a recent press event, the production team emphasized the universal message of the show:
“Anyone can be an ‘Emman.’ Someone who shows up. Someone who helps. Someone who chooses kindness, even in the smallest ways.”
A Strategic Evolution
This simultaneous rollout reflects TV5’s strategic shift toward high-quality, prosocial storytelling. By merging international acquisitions with world-class local productions, the network aims to provide a comprehensive viewing experience for the Filipino audience.
All three programs are scheduled to premiere this Monday, April 27, exclusively on TV5.
