PADILLA FAILS PBBM ADMIN OVER FLOOD CONTROL INVESTIGATION

Senator Robin Padilla gave the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. a failing mark regarding its response to alleged flood control irregularities, pointing out that very few individuals have been held to account despite ongoing probes.

Speaking in a radio interview on Sunday, Padilla voiced dissatisfaction with the government’s progress, noting the lack of arrests so far.

“Two [ang binibigay kong grado].” Eh baha pa eh. Wala pa naman ako nakita masyadong nakulong diyan,” Padilla said.

Padilla also called for an exhaustive probe, warning against political bias and pointing to past high-profile detentions.

“Napakadaming listahan niyan. Jinggoy Estrada at dating Sen. Bong Revilla] ay pulitika,” Padilla remarked.

“Imbestigahan lahat. Huwag tayong mamili. Huwag tayo maging pulitikal.

Echoing the call for accountability, Senate Deputy Majority Leader JV Ejercito expressed hope that more figures tied to the flood control controversy would face prosecution.

Sana mayroon na talagang mapangalanan,” Ejercito said.

Ejercito, who is the half-brother of Senator Estrada, stressed that all parties implicated in the misuse of public funds must face justice.
