The debut solo film of the breakout tandem JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, titled “Almost Us,” is proving to be a certified commercial hit.
According to data released by Regal Entertainment, the romantic comedy has amassed a total of ₱23 million as of May 12. The film, which held its nationwide premiere on Wednesday, May 6, reached this milestone in just nearly a week of theatrical screening.
The production house confirmed that due to high demand and positive word-of-mouth, the movie has been extended in approximately 126 cinemas across the country. Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Dan Villegas, the project has successfully captured the interest of both dedicated fans and the general public.
Regal Entertainment noted that the film’s success is bolstered by the warm reception it has received from both film critics and casual moviegoers alike.
