Rising stars JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith, collectively known to fans as JMFyang, have solidified their status as a formidable box-office force after their debut film recorded an impressive start.
Production houses Regal Entertainment and Project 8 Productions confirmed that the tandem’s first lead feature, “Almost Us,” earned approximately ₱5 million during its opening day last Wednesday.
Helmed by the award-winning and critically acclaimed director Dan Villegas, the film has earned widespread praise for the duo’s performances. Due to the positive reception and strong ticket sales, the movie’s cinema allocation is currently being expanded.
“Almost Us” continues to screen in roughly 200 cinemas nationwide.
