Senator Robin Padilla has hinted that he is ready to pass his legendary “Bad Boy” movie title to his nephew, Daniel Padilla, for a planned fourth entry in the famous action movie franchise.
Speaking at a question-and-answer session after a special screening of Bad Boy 3, Robin explained that a younger star should take the lead in the next project.
“Iintroduce po namin bago sa Bad Boy 4 mas bata,” he said. “Hindi na believable boy ako.”
While the actor-politician kept specific details under wraps, his brother Rommel Padilla confirmed that development for the follow-up film is already underway.
“In the works na po yan. Dahil galing sa pinaganglingan, kailangan doon sa ka-galingan din ibigay. In the works na yan,” he said.
Rommel also suggested actress Kaila Estrada as a potential on-screen partner for Daniel in the movie. Estrada has recently been the subject of romance rumors involving Daniel following his high-profile split from longtime girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
“Oo naman, para naman makita sila magkasama sa Bad Boy 4,” he added.
The ensemble cast of Bad Boy 3 features Dennis Padilla, Nadia Montenegro, Ejay Falcon, and Joko Diaz, among other notable actors.
An official cinema release date for the third film has yet to be finalized.
