Local carriers Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have secured spots among the top ten most punctual airlines in the Asia-Pacific region for the month of April, according to the latest data from aviation analytics firm Cirium.
In its Monthly On-Time Performance Report, the London-based consultancy ranked Cebu Pacific as the 5th most on-time airline in the region, boasting an 84.98% punctuality rate.
Flag carrier Philippine Airlines followed in 8th place, recording an on-time performance of 83.45%.
Cebu Pacific’s Chief Operations Officer, Javier Massot, credited the achievement to the internal coordination of the budget carrier’s staff.
”This is a testament to the discipline and teamwork of the company’s employees across its network. We remain focused on delivering operational excellence so our passengers can enjoy a smooth and reliable travel experience every time they fly with us.”
The regional list was topped by Singapore Airlines, followed by Garuda Indonesia, Scoot, and Malaysia Airlines. On a global scale, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) claimed the title of the world’s most on-time carrier for the month.
