China Bank Savings Inc. (CBS) has broadened its mortgage footprint by partnering with three additional real estate developers to deliver wider financing choices for prospective homebuyers nationwide.
The thrift banking subsidiary of China Banking Corporation formalized agreements with Primeworld Land Holdings Inc., Raemulan Lands Inc., and Ciudades Development Corporation. The bank anticipates locking in further partnership agreements in the upcoming months as it fast-tracks its retail lending growth.
The expanded developer network focuses heavily on high-growth residential corridors across CALABARZON and Central Visayas. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) data notes that both regions continue to lead the country in residential construction permit growth relative to floor area.
While shifting central bank policies and elevated interest rates present headwinds for consumer financing across the banking sector, financial institutions are utilizing strategic real estate alliances to tap into resilient demand among middle-income homebuyers.
Kristine Michele Broadhurst, head of the consumer lending group at CBS, emphasized that expanding homeownership opportunities for Filipino families remains a primary objective despite economic challenges.
She explained that dedicated bank teams are deployed on the ground to build direct developer relationships and streamline accessible housing finance solutions.
”We have dedicated teams on the ground building stronger relationships with developer partners to provide clients with accessible and responsive home financing solutions,” Broadhurst said.
”Partnering with more reputable developers allows us to do exactly that. We are excited to support the financing needs of Primeworld Land, Raemulan Lands and Ciudades Development clients,” she added.
China Bank Savings President James Christian Dee noted that the new tie-ups align with the organization’s broader objective of scaling its presence in the domestic housing market. Even with macroeconomic headwinds, residential property demand remains solid.
”It is no secret that demand for housing remains strong despite current economic conditions,” Dee stated. “The challenge is ensuring that the right types of housing developments are matched with the financing solutions Filipino families need, wherever they may be. That is why CBS continues to build partnerships with developers across the country. We want to help make the dream of homeownership a reality for more families throughout the Philippines.”
Through ongoing developer engagements, CBS intends to capture key provincial growth markets and drive long-term mortgage loan expansion.
