DELA ROSA’S CAMP ISSUES “NO COMMENT” ON ₱50M ARREST BOUNTY AND ONE-WEEK ULTIMATUM

MANILA — The legal counsel of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has declined to address the newly issued arrest ultimatum and multi-million peso reward announced by government authorities.

Atty. Israelito Torreon, the legal counsel for the senator, released a brief statement on social media on Friday, October 23, addressing the developments regarding his client.

“Sa lahat po ng nagre-request ng comment sa kampo ni Senator Ronald Dela Rosa tungkol sa 1-week ultimatum kay Sen. Dela Rosa para sumuko at ang P50-M pabuya para sa makapagturo sa kaniya,” Atty. Israelito Torreon, dela Rosa’s legal counsel, said in a social media post Friday, October 23. “Ito po ang aming Comment: No Comment,” he added.

Earlier on the same day, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla announced a ₱50 million bounty for the arrest of the senator. Government officials designated dela Rosa as “armed and dangerous” and confirmed plans to deploy a specialized team to track him down.

Concurrently, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. issued a one-week deadline for dela Rosa to turn himself in to authorities.

The legal pressure follows an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), which named dela Rosa as a co-perpetrator in the crimes against humanity case linked to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial war on drugs.

Dela Rosa briefly resurfaced in May 2026 at the Senate to vote for Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate President, but departed shortly afterward and has remained out of public sight since.
