EASTERLIES TO BRING RAIN SHOWERS TO EASTERN VISAYAS, MINDANAO

The easterlies are currently impacting the eastern portions of the Visayas and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Monday, June 15.

According to the state weather bureau, the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions—partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by isolated rain showers or thunderstorms—to Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA also noted that the weather bureau is not tracking any Low Pressure Area (LPA) both inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) for potential tropical cyclone formation.
