EX-ASSOCIATES OF ZALDY CO ALLEGE SUITCASE CASH DELIVERIES TO ESCUDERO

A group of individuals claiming to be former security personnel and bagmen for ex-Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co held a press conference on Tuesday, claiming they were ordered to transport suitcases packed with cash to the residence of Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.

During the press briefing at the Doublegem Events Place in Mandaluyong City, one of the whistleblowers alleged that their team transported four pieces of luggage filled with cash directly to the senator’s private home.

“Naghatid kami ng apat na maleta na may iba’t ibang sukat,” the individual stated.

To back their allegations, the group presented photos that they claimed showed Escudero’s house. The speaker further claimed that their group was allowed inside the New Manila property, where they allegedly shared a meal with the household security and staff after drop-off.

The media event was organized with the appearance of former Anakalusugan Party-list Representative Mike Defensor and legal counsel Levi Baligod.

A total of 18 individuals identifying as former bodyguards, alongside four others described as former members of Co’s security detail, attended the briefing.

Escudero has not yet issued an official response regarding these specific allegations. However, the lawmaker has previously maintained categorical denials regarding his alleged involvement in any bribery or kickback schemes tied to public flood control projects.
