Senator Imee Marcos admitted she has no direct knowledge of the health condition of her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., saying she relies only on videos released to the public.
Despite their political differences, Marcos expressed relief over reports that the President is recovering.
“Hindi ko masasabi at wala namang doktor na humaharap at nagtatapat ng medical bulletin. Ang alam ko, ‘yung alam din ninyo. Pero kung gumagaling na siya, nagpapasalamat ako,” she said in a press briefing.
When asked if she was convinced by the President’s condition based on the videos, the senator gave a reserved response.
“Hindi ko alam, hindi ko alam. Kasi puro video, video lang katulad ninyo ang napapanood ko,” she remarked.
In recent days, videos of President Marcos jogging, exercising, and even playfully racing with Palace reporters have circulated, intended to show that he remains in good health and capable of performing his duties amid persistent rumors about his condition.
