Senator Robin Padilla leads prospective senatorial candidates for the 2028 national and local elections if held today, according to a poll conducted by research firm WR Numero.
In the survey conducted from June 9 to 16 among 1,432 adult respondents—carrying a ±2.6% margin of error—Padilla captured the top spot with 39% voter support. Padilla previously emerged as the highest-voted senatorial candidate during the 2022 general elections.
Senator Raffy Tulfo and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto followed closely behind, tied at 36% voter preference. Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano and former Senator Grace Poe registered next, both garnering 34% support.
Rounding out the remaining figures within the potential “magic 12” preference list were:
- Senator Loren Legarda
- Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte
- Davao City 1st District Representative Paolo Duterte
- Former Senator Manny Pacquiao
- Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay
- Former Makati City Mayor Abby Binay
- Broadcast journalist Ben Tulfo
- Education Secretary Sonny Angara
- Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero
The survey reflects voter preferences strictly during the polling period and does not serve as a definitive indicator of the official lineup or outcome for the 2028 elections.
